Halloween 2009 - StormTroopers and Princess Bunnies

StormTroopers and cute little princess bunnies invaded our home on Saturday night. We went to Sydenham (a small town 10 minutes down the road) where we ate pizza at the local diner and then they led us into the dark night.....

We met up with Pebbles and BamBam (Ruby and Neko) and we visited each pumpkin lit home in town where we were met at the door by ghoulish creatures of every sort. As soon as our cute bunny and menacing storm trooper received a treat from one house they shot off ahead of us to the next. We parents could barely keep up!

When we arrived home, the kids sorted their candy, enjoyed a couple of treats and fell into bed exhausted. A fun night!

  1. Well, there's no end to the accomplishments of the Kirby-Olvet clan. Thomas, many congratulations. I applaud the good judgment of whomever deemed your thesis suitable for publication & look forward to reading it. Your Epiphany topic is most intriguing.

I see that Leslie is following the family tradition of creating wonderful costumes for her offspring. Her grandmother (Spennato) & her aunt (Sally) produced some mind-blowing examples of Hallowe'en couture over the years. Thanks for sharing the photos of your Hallowe'en outing.

Leslie, that autumn photo is absolutely spectacular. I've been trying to capture the season with my camera for years but have yet to find such an awe-inspiring scene. The closest I can remember coming was years ago - before I had a decent camera, of course - when Jessica & I used to walk on the train tracks near the cottage. One year we decided that the trees looked just like big tubes of lipstick - so deep were the colours. Again, thanks for sharing.

Another thank you - this time for posting these excerpts on your blog. It's lovely to share the shining moments of your life with you. Where do you find the time?

    Love, Aunt Tacos
